The new resident bad guy in control of every thing in VII finally has a formal name:
Supreme Leader Snoke
Played by Andy Serkis as a motion capture character, Snoke is the evil player in The Force Awakens that's pulling all the strings. He is a powerful figure on the Dark Side of the Force.
Snoke's voice was the one from the first Star Wars 7 teaser which referred to the dark side and the light.
Internet scuttlebut suggests that Snoke has a mentoring / commander role over Kylo Ren which we can speculate is much like that between Vader and Sidious.
