There was a time when English actors ruled Star Wars.
Darth Vader, Chewbacca, R2D2, C3PO, and Governor Tarkin were all played by English folk.
Same with Rey and Finn.
But the mid 1990's saw some Australians and Kiwis muscle in.
Tem Morrison as Jango Fett and Rena Owen had a chance to shine in Attack of the Clones.
And then the world went dark.
Until Tem Morrison popped back up as Boba Fett in The Mandalorian and then suddenly has his own show, The Book of Boba Fett.
And some overnight success for another Kiwi, Simone Kessell.
She has been cast in the new Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney Plus show in an un-named part.
Kessell got her start in NZ shows and famously had a keen role as a pool shark in Stickmen.
